Man, I'm rolling!!! Too funny for words. I won't even try to retort the two things that come from Texas. I feel pretty stupid for winterizing though. It's been 70 for the last couple of days (but I know it won't last).

Was converting a bunch of home movies to DVD last night. To watch them, you'd think all we did was ski last summer. Really got me wanting to go out and tear it up. Patience is a virtue ... which I do not possess.

Waiting on my noise reduction kit. That'll give me something to do. Then, the newintake manifold, but stop short of all that other stuff. Save some $$ for gas next year.

Well, hopefully Andre will be a good sport! I'm sure he will. Glad you guys liked it. Let me just say that MarkP is the one that introduced the movies. But I agree they are funny!

Come on Doug lets see some screen shots!

I'll see what I can do. Right now I'm exhausted because I worked on that until about 12:30 AM yesterday/today. Now I get to do it all again because one of my clips was misplaced and my menu descriptions are too small.

You got a site that could host video?

I'm sure Andre would find it a reason to drink something tropical, but it hit 20 hear last night. Had to winterize the outdoor cat.

I'm afraid to ask how you did this. You know what devient behavior to animals is a precurser to!

Initially, it amounted to throwing an old sleeping bag onto the piece of outdoor furniture where he was sleeping. But when I did this, I felt like a real jackass. Since the boat was at the local mechanic (indoors of course) getting the new intake manifold installed, I put the cat and sleeping bag into the garage. We were both glad to get him out of there this morning.

The boat will probably be back in the garage tonight and it may be necessary to run antifreeze through Mr. Kitty. ;)

/Always said I wasn't a cat person. But for low-maintenance pets, strictly outdoor cats are tolerable IMHO.

Doug, you have a cat? Dude, I really hope it is your wife's. 8p

BriEOD; I don't know, maybe I'm feeling bad tonight, but I haven't seen a pix of the kitty on the pets topic?

BriEOD

A cat for a manly-man like Doug. This is just me, but home brew, MC's, wood shops just don't fit in with cats. :D

Allow me to explain. I bought my first boat from my father-in-law, who lives on a ranch. The deal he cut me on it was conditioned on taking two kittens off his hands. One of these kittens (now a cat) is still around and lives on my back porch. In his spare time, he's been known to kick the $hit out of opossums who have the audacity to venture into my yard. I've since declared him cool and no longer the subject of ridicule.

Got the boat back last night. Ergo, the cat was back outside.

By the way, a little off topic, but anyone planning to put an edelbrock intake on his 91-94 prostar will require the low profile flame arrestor (on order).

And another thing, I'm a dog person. In fact, my last dog was what I'd refer to as a once in a lifetime pet. Haven't been too interested in getting another since I lost her to cancer. This is why I'll defend this cat's coolness. Basically, he's a pet to which there's no danger of my getting very attached. Don't get me wrong, I like him fine. But when it's his time to go, he'll just disappear one day. 'Til then, I'll keep a bottle of mediquick on hand for his war wounds.

Not yet. As for looks, it's pretty unremarkable, but for the height increase. If you're just curious as to what it looks like, you can see a picture of one in the "performance" section at skidim.

Yeah Doug, it's your lie you tell it any way you want to! ;)

east tx skier
12-16-2004, 05:12 PM
I'll add this, and then you'll know I'm not lying. When we got him, I thought he was a she (shows my level of interest inasmuch as I didn't bother to check). His name is still Lola, L-O-L-A, Lola. Sort of oddly appropriate.

BriEOD
