View Full Version : Noob question: Area under floor on port side

For a number of reasons (another discussion) I decided to mount my amp on the floor of the inside of my port side storage compartment. When I was mounting the spacers two of my drill holes went all the way through the floor. Didn't feel like I hit anything, but being the anal retentive that I am, wondering if there's anything under there to worry about.

And yes, this was a hell of an embarrassing thread for me to start so please show mercy...:(

nothing to worry about. It's just foam.

Just for the principle of it, seal the screw holes with a shot of silicone to prevent water from entering, just in case!

Too late, screws already in em and everything's tightened down. Given my amps gonna be just off the floor, that storage area's gonna have to be kept as dry as possible anyway.
