Mag,

I gotta agree with you there. I had my Formula w/twin 502's for 3 years, and now I'm ready to ski again. I started skiing at age 8 and my son now skis, he started at 10.

My prostar (94) was so much cheaper to run than the Formula.
Looking for a Maristar 230 next for the family.

The Formula is currently for sale. Just reduced to $62,900/ best offer.
Nice boat if you know any spped demons out there.

Wouldnt it be fun to suprise others on the lake? Most people know comp ski boats are tugs and not very fast. I think it would be fun to suprise them a little, speeds like that keep up with some bass boats!! I ski wth a guy up here that is crying for a boat quick enough for him to barefoot at comfortably, he wants something that can pull him 51 mph!

I would agree but I believe most think inboards are fast. Most who have never been around an inboard assume with the power to weight ratio they must fly. First question anyone asks me is, "how fast does that thing go?" We can still take off like bats out of H$%# :D and most don't know when we are gonna stop so they turn tail. There ain't nothin' gonna take them bass boats ya'll. Those things flat out get it! Across the lake and back they win against all. 51 mph? Wow! My barefoot days are over but I never saw more than 38 at long line. That is smokin fast.Wouldnt it be fun to suprise others on the lake? Most people know comp ski boats are tugs and not very fast. I think I can hang with that Malibu....My Barefoot 200 does 64mph on GPS with the 21 pitch prop. Don't worry boys, I 'll throw a few Mods at my Pro V 200 engine and roast that Malibu. I bet I can get 70mph out of it! Winter project, here I come!

I'll think he'll dump the Donzi. He's got the red vette on a lift and the brand new Donzi on whips. He know he's got too many boats!

How many times have people stopped and looked at ALL your boats! "Man that boat must go 80 MPH with that motor in there." How many fishin guys or wallies have made that comment. We could tell them all that they go 100mph and they would believe it. 190's 197s 205's 205v's are made for skiing. Not speed that why there is a HOOK in the hull to keep it close to the water and create that perfect wake. Look at the rudder dish on mastercrafts boat after 1984/5.

Malibu currently has a problems with "LOOSE" boats both in slalom and in jump. The boats are pulled all over the place especially the sportster because of the design of the hull. They are on top of the water instead of in the water. Think about it... did you buy a ski boat or a speed boat. My 2001 19 SKIER with a 310 TBI Predator with CUTTER 4 blade 13 x 13 1/2 is a awesome all around boat. Holds the course and will pull a single footer at 44 or 4 180 guys at 40+. What more do you want? Speed is fun at times...buy a speed boat if you want to go fast !!!

Buy a MASTERCRAFT if you want a perfect wake !!!

Tex, I agree. My 205 is in the water and on whips from May thru Oct. I've had them for 4 years, 0 problems.....but I want a lift for xmas. Jim, I agree, but I still think that vette boat is the cats a$$. Handles awesome, flys, awesome fit and finish, AND has a great wake. He added the working vette lights into the stock recesses in the back. Very nice!

We're all Mastercraft Junkies here...No need to bash Malibu boats who are building a pretty decent boat in my opinion.
Why the thrash talking?

Mitch
I would love to see a pix of the red one...If you have one of course!

I'll try and get a pic of the red one next year. He's talking about putting the red one in storage, and running the green one in 05. I like the green myself, but that's my fav color. He got it super cheap, and could not refuse. Same Bu dealer he gets all his boats from (and my MC too).
I hope the Sox repeat, but it's very difficult, and the Yankee's will of course be spending like crazy. This year's victory should last me a few years. :D

I have to disagree with you on this one Andre. I didn't take JimK's comments as "trash talking." He was stating in a very matter of fact kind of way a comparison between the boats. He raises some good points and of course he is going to be a lttle biased he is a MC dealer.

While I don't think it was really trash talking, and agree MC is the better boat, I have not felt Bu's 'being pulled all over the place' either. My friends who have these love em and would make the same decision again.

Maybe i didn't use the right expression in english. " bad talking for no any reason when it wasn't the topic at all against another skiboat brand" was what i met.
