Winterizing a '01 LTR (330HP)

Hi guys,

On my Malibu I always drained the block then ran Pink RV Antifreeze through it and left it in there for the winter.

The LTR is Differetn from the LT-1 correct? From what I've read here in the forums, the LT-1 has aluminum heads which don't like the pink antifreeze, but it seems like the LTR will be fine with the Pink Antifreeze in it......

Is Pink anyfreeze ok to use in the LTR?

Why don't you just drain the engine? I used to pump anti-freeze but draining is much easier and faster.

I guess I'm scared to DEATH of having water somewhere in the engine causing a crack :eek3:.....

On mu BU, I actually drain the block, impeller hoses, and the tranny hoses, the I start it back up and fog it while I'm sucking antifreeze in.....

Do what you are doing above ^^^^^^ As for antifreeze I don't know but am pretty sure pink is ok in the LTR. Ask JimN for clarificaiton.
