The newly founded John's Creek. Don't get up to Lanier too much. Too many pencil boats for me.

I keep my boat on the north end of Lanier...where it is still "rivers". Not as many of those Mega Marinas that rent slips to people who have more horsepower than common sense, makes for much better skiing. I have a couple of buddies that have boats up there as well. Let me know and we'll take a run. Don't trust that LakePirate guy...James is a UT fan from Georgia, that says it all:cool:

I've been close to Lanier and know some folks that go there sometimes. I live in Athens, GA about 55 miles from the nearest ramp, I think. I haven't been there in my boat. Been to Hartwell a bunch and now kind'a make a home at Russell - in Elberton, GA

Is there any courses on Lanier? There are many on Lanier, problem is all are privately owned and are submersable, however there's a few that aren't.
The Core Of Engineers on Lanier DO NOT permitt courses on the lake, but I KNOW WHERE THEY ARE :D

Ya better contact me ... if you wish to ski

Not so fast my friend.

Checked out the line yet?

If you want to winterize I can pull the Tristar up there.

James...how late in the season are you skiing? I am about to winterize, no heated garage this year.

P.S. I think I'm moving to Atlanta....it hurts, but I'll live

If it stays as cold as it has been I am done. However, if warms back up we will probably head back out. These lows in the 30's are killing me.

Welcome to Atlanta where the playas play.

Hi guys....water at Lake Arrowhead has been hovering around 58-60 degrees the past few weekends...a bit brisk when you hop off the platform, but bearable - I've been wearing a shorty...

The lows that we had earlier this week made me think about putting her away for the season, but I'm going to give it a go for another few weeks...definitely pull her out before Thanksgiving.
