Charleston is the slalom capital of the world, with more records being set there than anywhere. Wakeboarding is illegal.

I just left Charleston. I used to ski up on the Tail Race just about every weekend. Unfortunately there are not to many skiers/boarders up that way. You might have better luck heading down to Bushy Park.

How far are you from Isle of Palms (Wild Dunes) We are there usally twice a year and I get bored sitting on the beach and would love a run or two.

Lake Moultrie is probably a good 45 min to and hour from IOP. I'm not sure where he lives: Summerville, Santee?
