Anyone change out an IPOD screen? I have one that is cracked.

http://ipod-lcd-repair.com/ Anyone use these guys? Any other recommendations?

If I get it fixed I actually get an IPOD!

I thought Apple offers an exchange program. I could be wrong there.
It seems smarter to buy a new one vs. repairing the screen and possibly a battery while its open. IMO

THe link says I can get them fixed for $60 so that seems pretty good.

I take it you mean the plastic window is scratched. I bought some stuff earlier for clearing up plastic lens on headlights and I was amazed at what it did for scratches, stress lines and cloudiness of the headlight covers. I bought it at an autozone type place. I don't think you can really polish a scratch out easily.

My screen went bad. By that I mean the bottom half was unreadable. I filled out a service request on the Apple web site, they sent me packaging stuff, I sent it back, and a week latter I had a new ipod. I had to pay shipping since it was more than 6 months old, but I was happy.

That's kind of what I thought they did. As mentioned in the #2 post here. I had not done it, but others told me it was pretty easy.

Ended up there is a guy at work that plays around a lot with IPODs and fixed mine for a great deal! FYI, you can buy the screen on Ebay for ~$10 and it is really an easy repair! I really like this thing!

Guy at work is IPOD expert and replaced screen for $40! It's really easy and I could have bought the screen on ebay for lot less and put in myself.

I'm loving this thing! Almost 10g of song on it. These things really are so cool!!!!!
