Well, the day finally came to give my new ride a try. My front binding went on without a hitch but my rear binding is sooo old that the holes didn't line up. So, we tried my husbands rear binding. Fine and dandy except it was way too big. I took it over to the ski guru on the next lake and he dialed it in and let me borrow a D3 L rear binding. Well, by my third set on it I was skiing better than ever. Even my husband, who got to watch because he had his knee surgery Friday, said he has never seen me ski so well. Very fun ski. Now I have to get a rear binding of my own. So, I called D3 and we will see what they can come up with. Yipee!! I'm set:D :D

I got the X5. Wow, I didn't have any idea a ski could perform like this. I'm in awe right now.

Boy HB you are not kidding! Now I have to wait another 2 weeks to ski it again. The agony and extasy of it all...UGH! Good thing about the wait is that I'll have the rear binding I need for it.

I was on a 6 year old KD 7000. Heavy and sluggish compared to the X5.

I hear ya! Since my Goode broke, I got out my old 7000. It feels like a tank. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to get. I'm going to try to test a few things.

Glad to hear you pulled the trigger, but more so that you performed better than expected. How long until David gets back on the water after recovery?

Not sure. He goes back on the 18th. Can't get it wet until then and then I think he will probably be limited in activity. Although skiing isn't hard on the knees at all. What do you think?
