New Dash

Hey Folks,
I've got a '95 Prostar 205 and am wondering how to best secure the gauge panel. The one I have appears to have been removed alot, so the screws attaching it to the dash are loose or fallen out. What's the best way to keep it secured in place.

Hi,
If the installation is similar to what was in my 1992 205. The issue was that the threaded inserts fell out of the fiberglass panel behind the dash. Then you had nothing to secure the dash panel to. It was pretty easy to remedy by getting some threaded inserts designed to be used in woodworking. The kind with the 2 pointy tabs that you would hammer into say the leg of a table if you were going to screw an adjustable foot into. I cut off the pointy tabs and epoxied the nut into the fiberglass from behind, and never had another issue with the dash coming loose.
