I just bought a 04 Xstar with the 6.0 (LQ9) in it. here is a pretty good story that'll bring a tear to your eye.

Last weekend we went to a lake in eastern Washington and met up with a few people. All loaded up on my boat (11 of us) and did some wakeboarding. It was time for this dude (cant remember his name, but he looked like a corn fed breed) who had to be pushing 280 and 7' tall gets behind the boat and asks for ballast. Being the proud new pappa I am of my X-Star I am, I complyed. filled up all 3 tanks (not to mention 10 people on the boat) and yanked him up. after His first pull he requested that I bring him up a little more gentle. I figured it was gonna take a train to get this guy up on a wakeboard. He was very impressed with the Mastercraft.

Anyway, Plenty power and had room to spare. and were keeping the Mastercraft Name true to its standards!

oh yeah, just in case anyone is curious the prop is a 4 blade 14 pitch (dont remember the size though).

Surprisingly enough, No. That tower is pretty heafty. When he was cutting from w2w he was pulling the boat sideways a bit. I suppose the only way to avoid that I would have to install a keel from a sailboat!

LOL......Of course I was J/K. Hope you have fun with your new MC. Hopefully you will not need that keel! :uglyhamme :uglyhamme

Where in Eastern WA were you? We ride at Vantage or Chelan Falls almost every weekend.
