I don't know anything about that camera, but I have a Canon A540 that has an optional water proof exterior casing. Good to 130 ft, but the casing is a little pricey at $180 - especially since the camera is $280.

The Pentax W10 I have found for about $250 & is waterproof up to 5ft. Would be great for the water & on the boat.

i'm an old school emulsion photographer but not when i want to run-and-gun on the lake. so i got the pentax w10. for the money it's a kickass camera. 6 megapixels. lot's of presets for different lighting conditions and action shots. also really like the sony dsc-u60. same waterproof capablilities as the pentax (5 feet/30 min.) but only 2 megapixels.

Olympus also has a waterproof point n shoot, not sure what model. If you want digital camera reviews, one place I check is www.cnet.com.

In our family we had 2 rather costly Pentax P n S film cameras crap out after only a few years' use and no abuse, so I would not go that route. But that's just our experience. My first choice is a Canon product.
