About a week ago, someone responded to one of my threads with a pic of his new Chevy Avalanche. I'm in the process of trading my Touareg in on one of them and was curious how yours has performed towing your boat so far? If you read this and can tell me what you think of yours, I'd be most appreciative. Also, whether you have a 2wd or 4wd. I'm looking at an LTZ 4x4 with the Autoride suspension.

I bought mine and could not be happier. I have a 2wd LTZ (all of the LTZs have autoride). I have the 3.73 rear end and it tows great. If you are doing a lot of towing you might consider the 4.10 as it would have even more grunt. According to some reports people with the 4.10 have actually been getting better fuel mileage as well. Either way you'll love it.
Try this forum http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php lots of info and great people over there. Send me a PM if you have any specific questions and I'll give you my number. Would be glad to talk with you. Check around on the net as there are many people out there willing to give up GM Supplier discounts. Makes for a good easy deal.

I have an '05 Avalanche 4WD,with the ZR1 suspension and I could not be happier with it. I had an '03 before that and jumped on the good deals last summer. They changed the looks for '06, but I'm not sure about the drivetrain.

Thanks, but I already made the deal. I think it's pretty decent. MSRP on the truck I'm buying is $45.5k and I'm paying $38.6k. Also getting a decent trade on my Touareg.

06 Avalanche is in my opinion the nicest looking truck from GM I have seen in a long time! Very cool and white looks awesome.:D

I agree that the 06 looks great. Since I am a little short on the change, take good care or them so there is a nice selection of used ones in the near future:D

The new body style is actually the 07. The 06's were the old body style, though you could opt for it without the body cladding.
