Local news just aired this story on my next door neighbors last night. Thought I'd share it, they give me something to shoot for.

Very cool, although, I would think after so many years of waterskiing they would have learned by now what boat to drive!

Good question. at that age, ANY start would be rough on you.

Deepwater starts only. Roy is still on a 65" EP that is about 4 inches wide. Fran prefers her old EP, but uses that wide ski you saw in the clip sometimes because it might take her 3 or 4 tries to get up on her old ski.

That's great. We should all be so fortunate.

Roy and Fran were actually the Minnesota Mastercraft promo drivers for almost 30 years. Eventually, the promo life got to be a little too much for them, different tourney every weekend, and they bought a Natique because they had a friend that owned a CC dealer.

Well, we have a fairly large ski crowd here on the lake and most of them were here when they shot the story. I think the crew was talking about the collective neighbors.

My mom waterskiied until she was 68, when, despite valiant attempts, arthritis made it impossible for her to continue, but now ten year later, she still loves being a third..

I hope to be doing the same thing.

A lady that is a member of our club just won Nationals in Womens 7. Her score was 4 at 32off 30 mph. Not bad.....
