Hi guys,

Does anyone know what font Mastercraft uses? I need to get new registration numbers, and I'd like them to match. Anyone have a source they go through?

Thanks,

Kyle

It depends on the year. Early to mid '80's.. I think they used "Bookman Old". Your word processor may be a good place to look if it has a good font library.

Sorry. Should have mentioned that it's a '94. I haven't found the font in the word processor.

try this thread on mymastercraft.com. If it does not come up, just do a search for font.

Lakes Rick, that was plural; "The Fonts"
I found the font in Word, it's called Verdana. See attached, which may be an actual quote from the 70's

Has anyone mail ordered registration numbers using hemi head?
If so from where? Cost?

Hemi Head is about as close as I've seen, but it's not exactly the same. Do the demo on that web site. The "C" in MasterCraft is not the same as it should drop down a bit at the top. It is very close though.

I got mine done at Fast Signs. Numbers for each side and boat name was $26. I don't recall them having Hemi Head on display but they possibly could do it. What I did like was the color matches my accent color and the spacing is perfect. Well worth $26 bucks.

Dmac, Did they go from a picture of the original font, or have something in stock? Do you have any pictures?

Funny you mention FastSigns, I went there at lunch. They told me they might be able to do the HemiHead but not sure. I was quoted about $50 for a set of white numbers with a gray back shadow.
I am also curious if they did HemiHead or a stock font for you.

The font I used is called 'tracker'. I did not see anything that was close enough so I concentrated on color match and something that would look good. Unfortunately I don't have any digital photos to post.

Tracker was a stock font. I dod not shadow the numbers which accounts for the price difference. That sounds cool though.

I have a friend that does vinyl graphics. He originally bought the machine to do his race cars, however he now does it as a side business. He said that he could probably do two colors for in the $20 range. His email address is john.howard46@verizon.net you can contact him directly if you would be interested.
