Although I think she was involved, I had thought there might have been a "trigger man". Hope they got him now...

I always hoped it wasn't the parents, but they always acted guilty. I hope this clears the parents completely.

He was in my town......... Nothing like opening up an old festering wound. I think before all is said and done, there is much more to this story than is apparent today..........

He told the AP he made "several efforts to communicate with Patricia before she passed away," referring to JonBenet's mother, who died in June, "and it is my understanding that she did read my letters."

I think he is trying to tell everone that the mother knew all about this!!!:(

I ain't no detective, but I certainly don't think this kook did it. He's probably never even been to Colorado.

Here's an article about the JonBenet case. It really spreads a lot of light on the whole thing, but also raises a lot of questions:

After reading this, I came (jumped) to the following conclusions:

- It sure made it seem as though either Patsy or Burke (the son) were responsible. It was obvious that both Patsy and John knew who killed JonBenet, and both were trying to cover it up. The article pointed out that it probably wasn't John, because if it were, Patsy would never have been able to forgive him. It also made a good case that it wasn't Patsy, because if it were, then John would not have let her take Burke on a trip alone out of fear that she would harm him too.

- It was pretty obvious that Patsy wrote the ransom note, based on all the evidence to support that. This alone implicates her in either the murder or the cover up. Would she be more likely to be covering up for herself, her husband (probably not, see above) or her son? Also strange that she had on the same clothes as the night before, indicating that she had been up all night working on the cover up.

- Very strange that the police had been at the house for hours without searching the house for the missing child. Then when they decided to search, they sent John and two of his friends to do it. Pretty incompetent.

- John obviously knew where to find the body, as it was the first place he went. He also didn't seem to react the way you would expect a distraught parent to act (of course, who determines how they should act?).

- JonBenet's death was probably an accident, either the result of someone becoming enraged at her: for wetting the bed? -- Patsy; for being the favorite child? -- Burke; for threatening to tell that she was being molested? -- John or Burke.

We all like to form our own opinions of what happened, even though we all may be wrong. In either case, it's a sad story that a little girl died such a tragic death. We will probably never know who killed her, but the killer will always have to live with the knowledge that they did this, and hopefully this will be some sort of punishment for what they did.
