Thinking about adding some ballast to an '88 190. Any recommendations as to how much, and where to put the sacs??

My buddy has an 89'. We put a 600 lb in place of the rear seat and one 350 lb sac on either side of the engine. Works awesome!
If you need the rear seat than 350+ lb sacs along side of the engine works really well.

If you have a big sac in back, either added or factory, what about using 2-4 of the 100# fat bricks from BFI? I was thinking about them - could take them in and out full (maybe a 2man lift depending on pier setup), without having to pump. And their location in the boat could be altered even when full. We do slalom wakeboard and barefoot so quick changeover is a plus.

Had a 1200# sofa filled about 3/4 way full in back and two 440's between the motor box in my 86' when I first bought it. Tried it a few times. It thru a gigantic wake but boy was it LOW to the water!! Way to much weight IMO.
