I have a 1998 Prostar 190 30th anniv boat and am looking at putting on a wakeboard tower. I am looking for suggestions/advice on towers. I would like a collapsable one so I can still park the boat in the garage but also don't want a tower that isn't rock solid. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

That would be like putting spinners on a cherry 57 chevy no post! Don't do it sell it to me and buy a boat with a tower on it already. I have a skylon and it works great.

Let's see... Badboy has only 3 post and your telling him what to do with his boat?
Sorry, hit a nerve. It's like the 69 RS/SS convertible I had. Cherry condition, but at every car show someone would tell me what I should do with my car. It's not the factory color, you should paint it white with orange stripes.
Enjoy your boat Jeff.
Rob
PS. I cringe when I see the 57's with spinners, too.

I agree with Gofast....if he wants a tower then he should get a tower. I would recommend the Monster Tower. It has excellent build quality and looks good too. Plus the customer service is top notch, and it is collapsable.
I agree, It's your boat!! Do whatever you want to with it. Put a tower on it, tint the windshield, put an aftermarket x-star decal on it, WHO CARES!!!!
I had a Prostar 190 and put on a new dimension tower. It was a custom fit for the boat and looked awesome. Here is a link to their site.

From what I understand New Dimension is the company that Mastercraft used for their towers. I don't know if they still do but they are awesome towers and really match the lines of your boat.
For everyone who is trying to give advice on what he should not do to his boat; you should buy the boat then you can keep it original.
Good Luck.

We put a New Dimension Tower on a 30th last year, it looked awesome. Everybody wanted to buy it but it was a customers boat. Adding a tower can free up some space in your boat if you get board/ski racks. the 98' doesnt have much storage except under the bow.

I've seen several anniversary boats with towers...looks awesome!!! Best I've seen is when the tower is powdercoated to match the boat. New Dimension Towers are the best in aftermarket... www.newdimensiontowers.com

what's the best price on the mini or full tower, ever seen any used or on ebay for any reason???heard on the newer boats like my 2005 197 with the plates already in the hull easy to install myself!!!

I have probably said this before Chaser, but your 05 has backing plates for an 05 full tower... if you get the mini(or even the 04 style zeroflex or ND tower), you will need to have some backing plates fabbed up for the rear feet in order to install it properly... no big deal, but you definitely should do it
