It is cheap but what's up with the sheetmetal mod on the front of the boat??

I would rather go after this for a project boat, doesn't really look like much needs to be done though....

I think its a deflector to keep water from washing up over the bow and windshield. Maybe its a prototype for MC's new saltwater series!
