Holy SMOKES, I didn't know this was available......And based for $31K....
SS!!!!!!!!! (http://www.chevrolet.com/trailblazer)

TrailBlazer SS redefines the “sport” in Sport Utility Vehicle with a Corvette-based 6.0L LS2 small block V8. It generates 395 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, taking TrailBlazer from zero to 60 in under six seconds. Based on GM testing.

There was one at the dragstrip a couple weeks ago, I think it even had MFG plates on it. The only bad part they had the tree off because it was a street car chaos event...So I have no idea what it ran, but it was FAST!!
Reminds me of the typhoons, but seemed faster..

I have seen one at the dealer and one on the street. For my money though I think the Grand Cherokee SRT-8 is a better performing alternative. http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2005/03/23/018755.html

Yeah the SRT8 does perform better but the current tow rating is something near zero. The TrailBlazer SS can tow 6500 lbs and is AWD so it's not totally useless for on-road slippery stuff. The Jeep may be AWD too, I'm just not up them...

The Trailblazer SS according to the Chevy site it is either available in 2wd or AWD. Base price is 2wd only. The SRT-8 is only available AWD

Yes the SRT-8 is fast, the one here sold for $65,000.

And someone needs to show me where the hitch would go.... There seems to be something in the way of the standard location.....

Last fall I saw a Cadillac (SRX Crossover) powered the same...fast and good looking, but no idea of towing capacity.

Install the hitch under the front bumper and tow in reverse. Negotiating in the driveway and boat ramp would be simple!

My Ford SD had one in the front, not any easier than backin' her up.
