Shuttering Steering Wheel_Bad cable_2003 197 PS

Anyone hear about possibly bad steering cables for the 2003 PS 197? When the wheel is turned and then you throttle up from a stand still, the wheel shakes badly.

The previous service manager at our MC dealership said that he would replace the cable at the end of the season. He stated that there were some quality problems and the shaking wheel is a symptom of the problem. Well, the old service manager is gone and the new guy said that there is no fix other than to pack the front end with much grease. This seems like a copout to me.

Does anyone have info on this?

There was a RECALL on some 2004 boats for steering cables. Your helm
needs to be tightend on the YOKE for the TILT Mecanhism. That where the rattle loose feel comes from..
