Oh you just gotta love those welding helmets on days like that. I remember when I worked as a plant repairman. In July, it would often be 112F in the top of the mill, we would be up there changing rollers on conveyor belts. nice and toasty warm! Mari, drink plenty of water bud. stay hydrated and get two of those welding fume suckers, point one towards you and on away. that way you get some airflow on you. Thats what I did. Keep as cool as possible.

Not me UMP. My favorite 55 a$$ holes otherwise known as my highly valued staff of fabricators, welders and elctricians. (I feel for them today) All plant tours have been cancelled and the Gatorade is on me.

Me? I'm sitting at a desk in the A/C:D

i feel you on that one. i'm stuck with a hard hat on all day. Unfortunaltey for me, all the "girls" on the jobsite felt like going home, leaving me completely outnumbered when i asked to finish the day. oh well, just have to get used to being poor.

Our local weather babe says high of 94° for Urbana-Champaign IL. but we're cooling off thursday 10°. Corn is growin like crazy, if there happens to be anyone from the Chicago Board of Trade on here the crop looks real bad, if no CBOT members here it's the best crop ever so far. We're gonna do real good this year. And my "Sweet Corn" patch is scrumpdeliecious, best sweet corn ever!

Its HOT!! Temp is 98 here. Heat index is 110 according to the radio. Skiing last night after each set the driver (me) had to get in the water to cool off. Even with the Bimini up the heat was just brutal.

If you go to www.weather.com and search your city, go to yesterday and hourly it will show you a complete deal with temp, heat index, humidity and so on and so forth. If you get bored look up Statesboro, GA. Yesterday at 11:00 p.m. the heat index was 100 degrees. I maintain it is the hottest place on the planet.

It was so hot in Macon, GA yesterday when I was down there working outside that my eyelids were sweating.

Wow...that is crazy.

Low nineties here with afternoons thunderstorms to cool things off a bit in the evening....typical summer weather. We have a building tropical storm approaching so things could get interesting next week.
