I'm enjoying a martini and watching the Ranger game. They sing God Bless America at the 7th inning and cut to a girl in the crowd. She doesn't know the camera is on her but suddenly realizes that she has her baseball cap on and pulls it off. I thought this was cool. Do you think girls should remove their hats/caps for the Star Spangled Banner. It drives me nuts when guys don't. What do you think?

women are Americans arent they? therefore they should remove their hats as well as men when the National Anthem is played. Its just a simple, but very important matter of showing respect for our heritage, and our veterans.

Yes, remove their hats,

or as some may call them, their tops..

anyone wearing a hat should take it off during the National Anthem

people who don't know the words and make up their own verses should be kicked in the ding ding

every day on base we play retreat at 1700 to signal the end of the duty day, you'd be surprised at the number of military folks (O's and E's) who turn and run back into the building or to their car so they don't have to stand at attention and render the proper respect to the National Anthem.

I don't expect it to get any better, kids these days aren't taught to be proud of being an American.

Don't even get me started on flag burners....

Back to the first question, "Everyone hats off, stand if you can" and while we're talkin about respect: http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/flagetiq.html If you ever wondered about whats right and whats wrong in flag care, rules and regulations this pretty much covers it!

Do that here too, but at 1600.

Question... If there is not a flag in sight, which way should one face?
