I didn't read much of the article, but saw 100" plasma. Was listening to the radio yesterday and heard an ad for a 1080p digital projector. Not that I'm shopping. But would the projector be in the same league as the plasma? Most of the stuff I've read has been comparisons between LCD and plasma. We picked up a "little" 32" LCD last weekend and are enjoying it. Our 55" rear projection t-wide upstairs was getting lonely.

Different animals. You go with projector when you want size, plasma still has the best picture.

Yes, but isn't it true that when you watch the same shows often IE Fox news network, the "ticker" at the bottom "burns" into the screen?

I would expect that it's the border of the "ticker," i.e., the part that's not moving. I can't remember from my reading, which is more prone to this between LCD and plasma. Plasma I think. The other advantage with Plasma was better black tones. LCDs seem to have improved a lot over the last couple of years. We're pretty happy with ours so far.

Nah, I've got 55". That's enough until I have a media room. The one I heard about was DLP.
