I'm surprised MC doesn't have a picture catalog of every MC part available, allowing internet sales as opposed to dealers. I imagine the dealers would have heart burn, but you could steer the sale recognition (or credit) through them, even it's internet.

With all of us MC obsessed fans, sifting through a catalog of parts available from the factory would be serious eye candy and very tempting. Maybe I'm missing something, but I haven't been able to find this on MC's web site. I can find my closest dealer, and a link to their home page steers me to an order form that requires me to know my part number.

I believe full on photos of every MC part still available would increase your parts sales and make it easier for MC owners to score OEM replacements.

I totally agree. MC should post it for reference and research. You could call the parts department with the right parts number and save them time and money.
MC could list the MSRP which shouldn't cause any fiction with the dealers. I wish they would include more pictures of the parts too. May be someday, since Car dealers already do it.

I just did a general tour of mymastercraft.com's website and parts listings and that is unbelievable. Why does MC not have half that stuff in the ProShop, like the entry mats, vehicle floor mats. I added Mike and his Dealership to my favorites.

Once again, Harley Davidson comes to mind.

My thoughts..... One of the kids I am working with (teaching) wanted Mastercraft shock tube.. Personally, I didn't think they did much, but I tried to find him one - All I could find was Staight Line, even on a certain's member's site here!! Hell, I was ready to order - last night.....

Needless to say MC lost a sale- Straight Line was 29.95 I'd given acouple of bucks extra Last night for MC!!

I agree totally...

Understanding of course that the dealers won't let MC undercut or offer sh*t that they don't........

You could've gotten one in the MC Proshop (http://www.ptxsecure.com/mcpro/detail.aspx?ID=39).

Mike's the man. I order parts when I can from Mike (MCOC). Great service, great prices, great guy.

Example: I bent a bracket on one of my board rack fingers. I visited my local dealer to get price and availability on a replacement. They didn't have the info and said they'd call me with it. They didn't. I called three additional times to get the info. Each time they said they'd get the info from MC and call me back. But they never did. So I shot Mike an email, he responded within an hour or two with the info; I called him with my cc number, and the part arrived promptly from MC.

So, there's no point in supporting the rest of the dealers?

Sure, if they give you as good or better service..... But that'd be hard to do. I was on vacation and needed an exhaust hose due to my '08 mcx with the bad elbows. The nearest MC dealer didn't have any 3.5" exhaust hose. They explained that "It's expensive. $280 for 12' of it, so we don't stock it." Fortunately there was another inboard dealer nearby who does stock it.

So, as a consumer, you have the right to buy wherever you want but it would also make your boating life easier if you made it clear to the local dealer that if they stock a few parts and do the service right the first time, you'll potentially buy more from them, instead of waiting and paying shipping. I know that not all dealers are close to being equal but they need to get the message that if they aren't doing what the customers need and want, they only way their place will bring in more money is by increasing prices, because they sure won't be selling more boats, parts and accessories.

They may think they know what customers are saying and thinking about them but unless they actually get feedback, it won't change.
