50 y/o male....contrary to earlier reports, it does not appear like foul play. Seems like a late nite swim gone bad to me. They had what looks like a pile of clothes on the beach circled in police tape.

We also had a fatal car crash 200 yards from the lake last night. Weird

ACTON The body of an adult man was found in the waters of Mousam Lake near the Acton-Shapleigh town line Wednesday.

The man, who was not identified by law enforcement officials, was found about 30 to 40 yards from shore shortly before noon. Rescue workers determined the man had been in the water for some time and did not attempt to resuscitate him.

The York County Sheriff's Office is investigating; anyone with information is asked to call 324-1113.

I thought it happened at a lake in NH. I guess this is why it was not on the news. Thanks for the info

We're 5 miles from NH. Weird thing is we ran thru our AM sets, and had to have come w/ 100 years of where that body was 3 or 4 times. That's right where we turn :eek3:

I am sure you are happy that you are not the one to find it. Everytime you get in the water you would be looking around.

Years ago I was footing as the sun was going down. My heal hit something and down I went. Was very soft tap to the foot and did not think about it. Boat comes back around and the driver shouts what is that behind you bobbing in the water. Freaked me out. Turned out it was a telephone pole that was straight up and down in the water. I got in the boat quick before I realize what it was.
