Not sure where to put this thread, but will try here. This may have been discussed before, but I don't like hooking my slalom rope on the single finger hook that skylon puts on their poles. My loop wears out before the rest of my rope/handle does. Is there a common work around for this? Are people sliding the whole loop over the pole?

The new updated Fly-Highs have a swivel head.

For easy sets (the wife/kids) or tricking, I'll use the hook. If someone's getting ready to yank pretty hard, I'll take it down to avoid damage. I did a barefoot run off the hook last night, wanted to squeeze it in while I could still see. The rope seemed OK afterward, but not sure I'll make that a habit. A swivelhead at slalom height would be cool.

I have the same issue, without a solution. Anyone with some muscle, I pull the pole down to protect the rope.

But even with kids, the rope quickly comes unhooked and you're wasting time retrieving the rope from the lake.

Milk, by retrofit, did you see this one? I had one of these for a vdrive extended pylon prior to getting a tower. I got it from Overtons and BFI has them as well. (www.barefootinternational.com/ (http://www.barefootinternational.com/))
