I made this poll private for those of you who don't like to brag ;)

For anyone who would like to share your slalom level, please also let us know what ski you are on -- brand, model, size, bindings, and your body weight. Thought this would be a good companion thread to the "New Ski Decision" thread.

Also, choose the level that you normally ski at, not the personal best you made 5 years ago

PB was 3 @ 32 off 36mph a 3 years back on an 93 HO VTX.
Currently struggling ...... Only been on a course 4 times this year :( (Ripped the overlays on my front boot last trip out) and current pb is 3 @ 28 off 34mph on a 70" phantom. I'm 5'11, 210#'s

I cannot even get up on one ski. After 6 knee surgeries, atrophy has taken it's toll on my wheels. I only get in a couple of runs a season now. Pain is my enemy. The reason I bought the boat was to bring the family closer.

Intermediate free skier, and usually at full line length at 30-32mph. I just tried 15 off at 28-30 last week. Things seem to happen much quicker! :D I'm on a HO Magnum, 71", 6'4" at 250lbs.

Took a slalom run last night for the first time in weeks. I enjoy recreational free ski slalom, wakeboarding and barefooting. You really have to dedicate time and effort to preform at slalom skiing - hat's off to those who are good at it.

Finally got 1 at 35 off this year after a great week at ski school (Coble's). Prior to that my best was 3 @ 32 off. I ski at 34mph on a 66.5" 2004 D3 X5 w/Wiley's and a rtp. I'm 5'10" and 170lbs.

Though most think I use my cape to enhance my skiing, I dont.:)

I Run a 2005 HO Vengeance 67" with Double Animal boots, LFF, size Large. I am 6'1" and 200 lbs. I Free ski at 34 to 35 MPH, 15 off. I have dabbled with 22 off a few times and been a bit uncomfortable with it as I wasnt using proper form. but I am learning to generate more speed on my ski with correct body position, so I am going to try 22 off again soon. ITs all about learning and moving forward man!!!

Griff you need to make a trip down to see the family. The lake is looking and skiing great. I'll pull you through the course until your arms fall off.

I did 22 off full pass at 32MPH on the mini course this morning. Second time ever in a course. :D

Made two passes first one I made two green balls and on the return made all. Green is pretty easy!

My friend did mini at 36MPH and 28 off. With a little practice on timing I think we could each do the orange balls at that speed.

34 mph while free-sking...I figure I will hit 36 at some point, helps me learn to put back to back turns together without worrying too much about the buoys,

(note I just started getting on a course this year):
I run 30 mph @ 15 off right now...some times long line if I am late to the second wake.

I was skiing a 69" Connelly Legend w/ Double High Wraps,
I am now skiing a 68" Connelly Concept...hopefully w/ some Stokers sooner than later.

Anyone want to do some mid week skiing in Georgia?

I free ski at 34 mph, either 15 or 28 off (not a fan of the rooster tail at 22 off). I course ski at 15 off, 32 and 34 mph. I have yet to make a full 34 mph pass, maybe this fall I'll finally make it so I can move on to 22 off. I ski on a 1997 KD 7000 with RTP. Not exactly new technology, but the lack of progress ain't the ski's fault! Jason Paredes used to run on the same ski to 39-1/2 off, so I know it's plenty good for me.

I may be there this weekend or one of the next few. I'll give ya a heads up if it's happening.

Thanks,

Just came back from the course and couldn't make my 28 off at 34.Got 5.5 balls.First time i don't make my 28 in the last 7 morning sets.Been running into 32 off either mornings or evenings sets everyday for 3 weeks and starting to feel overski.Started playing with my fin setting lately and not sure if it's a good thing...
Made a PB of 4.5 at 32 off ,34 mph last week,6' 2" 195 lbs on a KD 7000 ,70" with Vise binding and RTP.

2005 Monza 69.5 with Fluid motion single & rear toe wrap.I'm 6 1" 220LB
PB this season is 2@35 off 34mph . I've been messing around with my wing & the DFT of the fin with positive & negitive effects. My set yesterday I had change the DFT & could not even run 22Off . I stopped moved the fin foward(.010) & ran 4@ 32off , these skis are sensative.

I am 5' 11" 185 lbs and ski on a 68" HO CDX. I am currently trying to run the course at 32 MPH at 15 off. My personal best is 3 at this speed and line length.

For me, hitting the course consistently has made a huge difference in my skiing. :D

My PB since I resumed skiing is 5@28 off 34mph. My all time PB is 5@32 off 36 mph but since that was 16 years ago it doesn't really count.

I am 6' 235lbs skiing on a D3X5 68.5". I was thinking about going to a larger ski but Paul Crawford at D3 suggested removing the wing first and seeing how it behaves. I only have one set so far but it seems better.

I free ski at about 31mph and full line length (I doubt I'll be able to shorten up, the bump behind our X-10 is pretty bad) working on getting the speed up, the ski seems to ride nicer with faster speeds. I ride a 65" HO Triamph with double Venom bindings RFF. I am 135lbs and 5'7". I have skied in a course once and I was able to complete 1 1/2 @ 30mph on the mini course. I really want to work on my form though and then get more time in on the course. This is only my second season slalom skiing.

skied 4 at 28' 36mph on my '04 D3 X5 67.5" w/ HO Phantom Approach Bindings LFF 10W (awful binding cramp at pass 6) 5'10" 180lbs...

opening pass is 22' 34mph which is an easy run in practice, then 22' 36mph which is still hit/miss...but getting it dialed in focusing on newer West Coast Style!!!

been working 36mph for 6yrs now, but finally feeling comfortable with upgrade to '05 197 with PP, Accusink course and retiring my HO Phantom!!!

next step is working on some Fluid Motion bindings, get ride of the awful "numb feet" syndrome!!!

6@32-off, 34mph. I recently switched from a 2002 PHantom to a SixAM. Wow, what a difference. I was struggling with 32-off on my Phantom, and first day on the SixAM ran 5.5@32, then back to back full passes the next day. I am 6'1, 205lbs, 67.5 SixAM 1 w/dbl Animals.

Tournament PB is 3 @ 38off. If you don't count my memorable (forgettable:mad: ) Nationals performance, I average 1 or 2 @ 38. I'm trying a Goode 9800 I picked up at Nationals. My current ski is a 9500 I purchased at the 2002 Nationals w/ Jager hardshells.

Tournament best 3@32 @36 mph, but it was several years ago. Just started on the course again and running a few @ 22 at 34 mph. I'm 6' 200 lbs and ride on a KD 7000 with comp wraps.::)

Update. After talking to Paul and getting some new settings I am sticking on the ski and have run my new PB to 5 @ 32 off at 34mph. I have been running 28 off pretty regularly lately.
