Man, I hit it hard last night. It was steamy in FW today. Beers after the lake today were great!

Went fishing on the Gulf today. Water temperature was 88 degrees. Fish weren't biting. Hopefully, the lake will be a little cooler tomorrow morning. :(

we are in the middle of a scorcher in WI too, we need rain bad, they are starting to put watering bands out already. we were at the landing on sat. night on the mighty mississisppi, my cousin asked if he could dive in, a quick check of the depthfinder said, NO, it was only a foot deep at the landing and we were probably 500 feet out or better. I guess we never checked the depth when we put in, it is always deep enough. The river is low too I guess.

I was out over the weekend on the Mississippi on a buddy's River Pro (http://www.riverpro-boats.com/pages/HiPro.shtml)jet boat.

I'd never done that before - that sucker is fast! We did manage to miss most (not all) of the rocks sticking out, but I noted that the Mississippi up here is about 3 feet down. Some private docks are completely out of the water.

anyone use "FasterFox" on their Mozilla Firefox?
It shows how long it takes a page to load..... good for referencing their connection, anything over 6 seconds here is VERY slow!

note:
2.233 seconds

and
100 degrees @ 5:56:(

104 here in Phoenix but cloudy. What a relief. Saturday when we were at the lake it was 112. Had to put towels down in the places the bimini didn't shade, because the seats were so hot.
