Good-bye Magic Mountain? Six Flags puts six parks up for sale or closureThe six parks on the chopping block are Magic Mountain, Elitch Gardens in downtown Denver, Colorado, Darien Lake near Buffalo, New York, Wild Waves and Enchanted Village outside Seattle, Washington and the waterparks Six Flags Waterworld in Concord and Six Flags Splashdown in Houston.

At least my 'ol 6 flag over Georgia's still open, for now anyway.

Six Flags prepares to unleash a GIANT!

Six Flags Over Georgia has unleashed a GIANT in 2006.
Soaring over 200 ft. above the park and covering an area 8.5 acres in size, this much-anticipated steel monster is appropriately named: GOLIATH.

GOLIATH will travel over 4,400 feet on a journey that takes over 3 minutes and reaching
speeds of 70 miles per hour. The park's 11th coaster, GOLIATH will be Six Flags Over Georgia's first "hyper" coaster, or coaster reaching over 200 feet in height.

See an overview of GOLIATH, plus 10 other roller coasters at Six Flags Over Georgia,
then check out the coaster science behind GOLIATH and take a virtual ride.

Yes we went to the local place Bobbejaanland and then Six Flags. Everyone liked Bobbejaanland the best but both were good.

They'll build 'em anywhere, kinda like Home Depots.

It was nice, but counted on the Brussels people (internationals) while the Belgiums went to Bobbejaanland which was cheaper and had some fun - very different rides.

I remember looking at their stock few years ago and it looked like it was in distress then.

Speaking about the one in Atlanta, I don't know how they are making it. From the last time I went they have about half as much parking and they are not open nearly as long as they used to be. All that and school starts in July around here has to be killing it.
