SAP on my seat - any ideas

Folks - When I pulled my boat out last weekend, the only place I had to wipe down was under this huge tree and somehow the tree dropped a dime sized blob of SAP on the right ski locker vinyl.

Of course, I didn't notice it until I got home, so it had 2.5 hours to fry in the sun and is now completely baked on. I tried to peel it off, wipe it down with soap and hot water, used 303 and other mild chems to get it out, but all it did was smear and make a mess. :mad:

Any ideas how to remove SAP from Vinyl seats? :confused:

mineral spirits and cotton cloth. blot instead of rubbing. then clean good with with warm soap and water.

Simple Green may work, Goof Off and Goo Gone are good, too.

One more thing you may try. I had a bunch of sap all over my Tahoe last summer. I tried everything and nothing worked. I asked a friend of mine who does auto detailing and he recommended a product made by McGuire's called Quick Detail. You can get it anywhere. It cut through the sap with one wipe of the cloth. This stuff is awesome. It's in a maroon spray bottle in the auto area. Good luck with this one. I think we can all agree, SAP SUCKS!!!

Typically, quick detail and a clay bar takes sap off of automotive paint.
