The family and I went out on our typical moonlight cruise last night, and my 4 year old daughter decided that she wanted to learn to ski.

It was the cutest thing ever! My wife and 5 month old in the bow taking pictures, my 12 year old hanging on for safety (when she let go he dropped to keep her company and make sure she was OK).

It just doesn't get any better than this!

Thought I would share.

Great pics and what a cool brother.
And yes it does get better. With kids like that it gets better every day.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, Zack is the coolest. He is a little stud. When the little one got tired, he decided to practice his tumble up or whatever you call it barefoot.

My wife was not pleased. I don't think we will practice barefooting anytime soon with my wife in the boat.

Now thats cool!:) great to see families get into this sport like that. Keep the sport alive, pass it down to the young'ns. Good job! and yes, that is way cool of her big brother to be so helpful. :wavey: :)

RT - You should be a proud papa, and it only gets better from here - this will be something you'll be able to share as a family for your entire life! There is nothing like the gift of boating!

I had both of mine start with doubles on the boom at around 4-5, the oldest (17) now rips the course at 22 off and my youngest (7) is too cool to ski, so she's practicing her wake jumps and switch riding.

Nothing like watersports to keep a family together!

Cheers!

Robert, Awesome to see the big brother taking care of the his sister.

My 12 year old has really done a good job helping my 6 year old daughter get up on the wakeboard.

It really makes a dad proud.

Now you are just going to have to listen to "my turn dad" for the rest of your life. Still love hearing it....

Awesome Robert. Our family has a great time on the boat. You are right - It doesn't get any better! All of my troubles melt away when I see the enjoyment my kids get out of doing something new on the water. Nice to see your oldest is getting into barefooting!

My 5-year-old Grandson made me the proudest Poppa on the lake. He nailed it first try and now he begs to barefoot every time he skis. Thank goodness for the boom. He learned without falling hard and getting the crap scared out of him on long line. I was able to sit on the side of the boat instructing him and when he let go I just jumped in with him. I went and bought him his own "real" ski vest now there is no stopping him. Now if I can teach him to drive the boat Iíll have my own home made ski partner.
