I see that almost every time I go to the rivers and bayous around here to ski. You should see the wakeboarders trying to catch air off that wake.

The ski is a show ski. Same ones used for pyramids and swivel skis. We got two people up on two sets of them behind the boat, but couldn't get the thrid person for a pyramid (now that would have been a picture).

As for wakeboarding, we were thinking of filling the live well (built in ballast tanks!!) and going wakeboarding ... but that just didn't happen.

Looks like the setup I learned to ski with...big wooden skis, orange vest...missing the two handled rope.

I can remember reading the early WS Magazines and looking at pictures of MCs hoping someday I could ski behind one....now I own one :D

When I saw this I laughed out loud, people at work around me were wondering what the F*&K!?!

When I was 10, the first time I ever went skiing was behind my Uncles 12 foot aluminum boat with a 15 HP motor just like this and I was on a pair of combo skis. The funny thing was that I was wearing the friggin orange PFD just like this guyand also wearing my cousins trunks which were 5 sizes too big...so you guessed it, when I finally got up, my trunks were around my ankles, so my boys were out there just wagging in the wind. You really had to be there....on second thought, naw I'm glad it was just family there....

If I can dig some pictures outta the attic, I'll scan em and post em for laughs (the ones with my shorts on of course....)

Cheers,

OK - - Let's see em ... open the flood gates.

Post all the outragous pictures you have skiing on whatever you could find (or behind the wierdest boats).

Don't laugh...a lot of us learned to ski behind those. Ours had a 25 hp Evinrude on it. When my friends would get up on skis, the driver would have to run up front after they 'gunned' it to plane off the boat....I got a ticket for that once....cost me 150...that was in 1978....big money then...but we did have the hard foam 'Cypress Gardens' jackets....:D

Pretty much same kind of boat and motor, but we had ski belts. We also rigged longer fuel lines so we could put the six gallon tank in the bow.

If we would have had a ski belt - - believe me we would have been wearing it.
