I want to put a CD player in my 94 ProStar. Is there anything special I need as far as the wiring goes? I have a mount from an install I did from a car, is that going to work for me?

Nice avatar!

No nothing special needed for installing a radio in a boat as opposed to a car.

If you don't use your ACC1 switch, hook the radio up to that a safety so you won't forget to turn off the radio and drain the battery.

Make sure all your wires are either taped or heat shrinked to prevent any water from getting to them.

Are you installing the radio in the dash or in the glove box?

There are alot of pics from the guys on the board to give you ideas of their installs...good luck...easy project for a 1/2 day. :toast:

Make sure you connect that L bracket behind it. Helps with vibrations and (if you have the radio cover), takes the stress off of that.
