Australians best Wakeboarders are heading to the sanctum of Australian wakeboarding and water skiing for the 2014 Nationals. Join us to watch over one hundred wakeboarder’s battle for the title of Australian Champion at Lake Albert in the wakeboard crazy town of Wagga Wagga, NSW on the 19th to 22nd of March 2014. Wagga Wagga is the home of Brett “Ike” Eisenhauer, one of Australia’s most successful wakeboarders, Ike is one of thousands of Wagga locals who loves shredding in the summer. Wakeboard Australia is expecting the biggest crowd at any event in the history of wakeboarding. Australia’s best will be primed for competition fresh out of Melbourne’s famous Moomba and Australia’s own World Cup stop in Perth. The 2014 Australian Nationals is stacking up to be massive. The last few years have cemented Australia as the home for the best wakeboarding talent in the world and this will be Australia’s premier event. Don’t miss the Nationals!
What better way to finish off summer and the competition season, than chilling at Lake Albert in the heart of Australia’s most wakeboarding crazy town, watching Australia’s best shred and soar off the massive MasterCrafts wakes. This is the best display of extreme sports you will ever experience and will be the ideal opportunity to see why MasterCraft team riders Harley Clifford and Tony Iacconi dominated the world’s best behind the mighty MasterCraft XStar on the US Pro Wakeboard Tour last season.
This is also one of the only chances to see Masters ACT rider Leigh “the sandbagger” – actually forget about Harley and Tony – just come to see this character smack the wake- his Gayley is unbelievable!
Competition will be hot in both the men’s and women’s age and open classes with over ten past and current world champions taking on challengers from all over Australia. The State teams will be fired up to battle for the chance to rip the Wakeboard Australia Team trophy out of the NSW teams slippery grip and make a home for the holy grail of wakeboarding for a year.
This year’s nationals can fit all budgets for competitors or spectators. Wagga’s local hotels and caravan parks are filling up fast and can’t wait to host wakeboarders from all corners of Australia. There is plenty of entertainment on hand when the MasterCraft is docked for the night. The Wagga Wagga Boat Club will not only be our base for the event, but is also the location for the welcome party and 2014 Mastercraft Australian Wakeboard Nationals presentation dinner. What a perfect spot to share stories of awesome riding while watching the moon come up over the 2014 Nationals course. Getting to Wagga Wagga is a breeze with flights daily from Sydney and an easy 2 hour 45 minute drive from Canberra.
Book your trip to be part of the massive crowd expected at this event. Don’t forget to get your tickets for the MasterCraft Nationals Presentation on Saturday night at the Wagga Wagga Boat Club – this will be a sit down 3 course meal, DJ and dance floor - having a ticket is the only way you will be able to join in on the presentation night fun. The RSL have shuttle buses to help you get around after a few tasty beverages at the local wineries.
