MasterCraft and Its Athletes Dominate 2006 Riders Choice Awards
Sep 05, 2006
With the polls now closed and votes counted, Wakeworld.com announced the winners today of its 6th annual Rider’s Choice Awards. With categories ranging from Top Ten Male Riders to Most Improved Riders to Boat of the Year, wake sport enthusiasts gathered around their computers in the thousands over the last few weeks to cast their ballot for their favorite riders, best wake sport equipment and most envied ride. And at the top of the pile? MasterCraft and its infamous team of riders.
For the 4th straight year, the MasterCraft X-Star, long considered the King of Wakes, retains its throne as the Boat of the Year. Although the competition this year was admittedly tougher, the X-Star still took its rightful place on top of the podium, deeper solidifying its notorious place in wakeboard… correction… boating history.
MasterCraft Athlete Domination
In the Top Ten Male Riders category, four MasterCraft athletes carried home top five honors with Andrew Adkison grabbing 2nd, Parks Bonifay snapping up 3rd, Shane Bonifay getting his hands on 4th and Rusty Malinoski snagging fifth. But it was not over there… in Most Improved Rider category, Andrew Adkison and Rusty Malinoski carried away 2nd and 3rd place respectively. And we can’t forget about Jeff House who recently moved into the pro division – he secured 2nd place in the Rookie of the Year category.
In Top Five Female Riders, MasterCraft was not absent either. Tara Hamilton secured 5th place, ensuring MasterCraft was well represented in all facets of the sport.
So congratulations goes out to these incredible riders and the legendary boat that pulls all of them – they have been chosen by their peers as the best this industry has to offer! To learn more about the 2006 Riders Choice Awards, go to the link below: 2006 Riders Choice Awards
