Pro Slalom Shootout: MasterCraft Wins Two Out of Three!
Jun 02, 2006
Team MasterCraft took two of the three events in the inaugural WaterSki Magazine's Pro Slalom Shootout yesterday at Isles of Lake Hancock, in Orlando, Florida. With a dominating, 20-point victory in the Big Spray competition on Wednesday, Team MasterCraft skiers filled the open field on Thursday, with team member Terry Winter taking the top finish -- 3 at 41 off -- behind the ProStar 197.
The Low Down
"Most of our team skied in the final round of the Open event,-- said team captain Wade Cox, who scored 2 @ 41 off in both semi-final and final rounds. "We were a little out of gas. While we would have liked to sweep Team Malibu, we'll take a little Meatloaf -- two out of three ain't bad. Props go out to Terry Winter, who ran 3 at 41 and won the big event behind the 197. He skied great today, as did all of the MC team in the finals -- Glenn Campbell, Seth Stisher and myself."
"The True Champ" - ProStar 197
The MasterCraft ProStar 197 ran like the dream it is during the two-day event. In addition to pulling Team MasterCraft to victory in Big Spray, 12 out of the 16 skiers in the semi-finals rode behind the MasterCraft to get in, while 6 of the 8 in the final round got in by slicing it up behind the 197. The 197 pulled the best run of the week -- Winter's 3 @ 41.
The Winning Combination
The scores put up and the guys that placed high had one thing in common, - said MasterCraft Team and Events Manager, Aarne Clow. "They both used world record driver Chris Eller and the MasterCraft ProStar 197. End of story."
