MasterCraft Hosts Kids and "In His Wake" Ministries
May 30, 2007
On a beautiful day at the factory docks today, MasterCraft hosted the “In His Wakes” ministries. With many local at risk children on the docks that usually don’t get a chance to participate in water sports, these kids were treated to a wonderful day of water skiing, wakeboarding and tubing.
The ministries of In His Wakes are fueled by three passions…people, water sports and Jesus Christ! In His Wakes shares the love of Jesus Christ using the unique draw of water sports to minister to a range of people from the professional athlete and water sports enthusiast who routinely take to the water to water ski, wakeboard, kneeboard, barefoot, show ski or ski race, to the Christian community, and even to individuals who may never be exposed to water sports in their normal course of life.
In His Wakes is using water sports to minister to these diverse groups of people across the waters of the world and to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ. For the water sports community, In His Wakes develops relationships which encourage and provide opportunities for both the water sports enthusiast and corporate businesses to use their talents and resources to impact the lives of others. For the Christian community, In His Wakes encourages believers to daily step off their spiritual dock and take to the waters of life with Christ at the helm! For at risk individuals, In His Wakes provides an experience of a lifetime by providing a safe and successful environment for participants to engage in water sports activities which challenge both their physical and emotional limits. The activities provide an opportunity for participants to leave their fears, pride and insecurities on the dock and take to the water to experience new and often overwhelming challenges. Through their successful experience on the water, the participants gain much needed confidence in their ability to overcome. Through the personal interaction between the In His Wakes’ staff, volunteers and participants, bonds of trust are developed which provide an avenue to show physically and share verbally the love of Christ and His message of hope and purpose which will enable the participant to better face the challenges of daily life.
