You are invited to the 2008 Waterways Ireland WakeJam on Lough Erne, Broadmeadow, Enniskillen Castle on August 16 and 17. The fourth installment from the Erne Wakeboard Club is heating up to be the best wakeboard event Irish waterways have ever witnessed.
The Erne Wakeboard Club are hosting Ireland’s pinnacle wakeboard event with 50 competitors attending over the weekend. WakeJam brings the best riders from all over Ireland to compete. Riders from a young as 6 years old up to the experienced pros, will be judged on a ‘best 2 out of 3’ pass system.
Over the past four years the Broad Meadow competition course has given local and national riders the opportunity to perform on the big stage and thus helping the Ireland Wakeboard Team take 8th place at the 2007 Wakeboard Worlds in Doha, Qatar. EWC Captain and Enniskillen resident Garvan Duffy captained Team Ireland and Sian Hurst also from Enniskillen finished 2nd in Junior Girls.
On the water, the mighty MasterCraft X2 and CSX boats will be creating the wakes and on-shore, MasterCraft Ireland will be displaying a full range of boats at their lake-side boat show.
