 MasterCraft Athletes give Record-Breaking Performances at the Waterski World Championships in Linz-Steyregg, Austria. September 02, 2007 In Mens Tricks, could the defending World Champion, Nicolas Le Forestier (FRA), do it one more time? Six athletes scored more than 10,500 points. Five athletes scored more than 11,000 points. Nevertheless, Le Forestier did the seemingly impossible with a new World Championships record in the Preliminary Round of 11960 and a Gold Medal score in the Finals of 11680 to retain his title. In Mens Jump, although presented with the daunting challenge of a 70.7m jump from the defending World Champion, Freddy Krueger rose to that challenge with a distance of 72.4m, earning him a standing ovation, a new World Championships Record and the title of World Champion. Congratulations also to Karen True love Krueger (USA), currently ranked second in the World, who was presented with a Silver Medal in ladies slalom. In the Ladies Tricks event, the defending World Champion and World Record holder, Mandy Nightingale (USA) took third place with 8150 points. A fantastic set of results for Team MasterCraft. |
